X-ray protection is highly recommended for any individual likely to be exposed. Patients, radiologists and staff involved in imaging may be exposed to radiation that penetrates the body and is partially absorbed by bones, organs and tissue. Although the level of risk for each individual X-ray may be negligible, high doses of radiation have been linked to certain health issues.
