Description
Often used with the Swimmers / Lateral Hip Filter. Won't slip or tip and has an amazing grip!
Additional uses are bilateral sunrise view of the patella and cross-table lateral view of the knee. Positions the femur up and out of the way for the central ray.
The Anchor Leg Stabilizer elevates the knees so the patellas require less of an angle. The patient does not need to be moved to the far edge of the table top in order to accommodate the positioning of the central ray. Some older patient's feet slide and need to be stabilized. The Anchor Leg Stabilizer provides this stability. When the patient holds the receptor, it is closer to the femurs and reduces the need for the patient to extend their arms thus providing a firm hold and less likely to move the receptor during the exposure.
For cross-table lateral hips; Cross-table lateral view of the knee and femur.
